Terms and Conditions
Chargeable Repairs
All chargeable repairs (non-account holders) carry a 6 months parts and labour guarantee ONLY on the work carried out. This guarantee is not transferable and any re-work required in conjunction with is guarantee must be complete by ourselves. if a different part has failed then a new estimate will be issued
All chargeable repairs require a non refundable inspection fee which varies from different types of appliances, but for further information for costs please call 01603 703999 for more details. The inspection fee will deducted from the total cost of the repair. If for any reason we are unable to source the spare parts, (manufacturer no longer supplies) or the estimate provided is declined or we find the unit beyond repair then the inspection fee paid covers our time in our diagnostics and administration.
All estimates provided are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate, after this time if the price has increased a new estimate will be raised. Once units have been collected from our premises we can no longer honour estimates given, in this case the unit would have to be booked in again, a new inspection fee paid and a new estimate raised.
We may require expensive estimates to be signed for in advance or be paid for in full. Once estimates have been refused, or a 30 day period has expired from the date the estimate was issued, we reserve the right to dispose of any goods at this time. If once an estimate has been accepted and subsequently change of mind we are unable to guarantee that our suppliers will take any spare parts back, in this case the repair would have to be completed as per our estimate. If we are able to send back there may be a admin charge to cover these costs.
We also require completed repairs to be collected within 30 days of completion to avoid storage charges. If a completed repair is not collected within 60 days of completion we reserve the right to either remove parts fitted and dispose of the goods or sell the goods to recover our costs incurred with the repair. Any balance due would be subject to your recovery and costs.
We welcome smaller products to be posted to us but in this case please make sure the relevant inspection fee is paid and the product is well packaged and adequate insurance has been made. We cannot be held responsible for damaged caused any 3rd party. When we sign for any goods sent in we are only signing to say we have received them not to say received in good condition, once booked in we will send or email an job card listing any damage found.
Warranty Repairs
All manufacturer warranty repairs must have a valid proof which normally consist of the original invoice or sales receipt indicating the date of purchase, model name and dealer's name. Warranties do not cover misuse, wilful neglect, tuning, setup, or external adjustments then in this case a charge will be made but at the same time if we deem the product to be working within the manufactures specifications or we find there is nothing wrong with the product then a charge will be made.
Most Larger screen TV's are covered for a callout to your home and no charge will be made for this, but if you still require a callout for a product that is not covered by the manufacturer for this then a charge will be made.
General Notes
Webster technical services cannot be held responsible for data loss due to components failed either supplied by us or not. It is always advisable to store important data in more than one location. Whilst your unit is in for repair it may be necessary to carry out software updates or replace parts which may make your data no longer accessible, for example replacement hard drives. It is advisable to back up ALL DATA prior to repair.
Any data found deemed to be illegal or inappropriate will be reported to the local authorities
Spare parts are normally supplied by manufacturers on the condition that they are returned for recycling or repair so on this basis old parts are not available to be returned to you.
Data Protection
We Webster technical services limited will be storing your details including your name, address, telephone numbers, email address and product details on our database in conjunction with the repair or service of your goods. By allowing us (Webster technical services) to store your information we reserve the right to share these details with the appropriate manufacturer or service agent.
